Fidan: Turkey ready to normalize relations with Armenia

Turkish authorities are ready to normalize relations with Armenia when the necessary conditions for this appear.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated this to the newspaper Türkiye following his visit to Russia, which took place on June 16-17.

"The government of [Nikol] Pashinyan has taken very important steps [on the issue of normalization]. At the will of our president [Tayip Erdogan], many important steps have been taken, including the establishment of direct trade and air transportation. What else remains to be done in the new period is also clear. We are ready for normalization when the necessary conditions for this appear," Fidan noted.
