IDF reports liquidation of two operators of Hamas financial network in Gaza

Israeli military liquidated two radicals in the Gaza Strip who carried out money transfers as part of the Hamas financial network.

This was reported by the press service of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

"The IDF liquidated two Hamas terrorists who facilitated the transfer of more than half a billion shekels (about $170 million) to the military wing of this terrorist organization <…>, using a network of dozens of couriers and currency exchange points in Turkey and the Gaza Strip," the statement said. According to the military press service, the liquidated "acted within the framework of the financial network controlled by Hamas, which was responsible for transferring funds to the Gaza Strip."

According to information from the Israeli military, "with these funds, the Hamas movement continued, especially in recent months, to pay salaries to terrorists and finance terrorist acts against IDF servicemen and the civilian population of the State of Israel."
