Hegseth called refusal of many NATO allies to help US in war with Iran a disgrace
The refusal of many US allies in NATO to help the Americans in the conflict with Iran is a disgrace that has no justification.
US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated this.
“Too many of our allies said ‘no,’ or tried to drown us in convoluted legal debates, or publicly criticized us for things they themselves were not ready or able to do. This was disgraceful,” he said at a meeting of NATO defense ministers, commenting on the refusal of a number of alliance members to help the US in the conflict with Iran.
According to Hegseth, the refusal, including access to military bases for the transfer of US troops and their use for combat operations, put the lives of American military personnel at risk. “There is no justification for this,” the minister emphasized.
